In past lives, I've been a synthetic biologist at the bench, an instrumentation developer, and a materials engineer.

In my free time, I explore and take photos of San Francisco, dance, and practice aerial arts. In graduate school, I mentored local college students, served as a student advocate, and worked with foster youth at a local public high school.

Fun fact: I built a custom scientific instrument in my living room during the 2020 COVID lockdown to support my doctoral research.
