Talk: Tunable temperature-sensitive transcriptional activation based on λ repressor

In addition to presenting the contents of my recent journal article, I shared my personal journey towards earning a PhD at Caltech and the story of preparing a manuscript, from idea to publication.

I participated in a discussion with Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks during her tour of California's innovation ecosystem. I presented a brief overview of DoD-funded bioengineering research at Caltech related to my PhD thesis work.

I reprised my 2019 visit to Cal State LA by participating in a virtual seminar. In addition to summarizing my research, I shared the day-to-day of being a student researcher at Caltech.

Talk: Microbes 'R' Us

I gave a talk on the human microbiome at UCLA's annual science fair. As UCLA's largest STEM outreach venue, this free event draws about 10,000 visitors.

I visited the undergraduate students at the Center for Energy Sustainability (CREST CEaS) at Cal State LA, the largest minority-serving university in the Western US, to speak about my experiences as a PhD student at Caltech.
